About Us

Proserpine Whitsunday Uniting Church

Our Mission is to glorify God by engaging with and caring for our community through the love of Christ. Care, Community and Christ are the three pillars of our Mission. They sum us up fairly well: we focus on Christ, we love our community and we care!

A brief history

The Uniting Church in Australia was formed on 22 June, 1977 by the union of the Congregational Union of Australia, the Methodist Church of Australasia and the Presbyterian Church of Australia.

Membership

Membership at Proserpine Whitsunday is open to everyone, without exception. We worship together, support one another in service to the broader community, and help choose the Proserpine Whitsunday Uniting Church leaders.

Members also pledge their time and money to the church: there’s no minimum amount, just a willingness to commit to a regular contribution. If you’re interested in being a member, please contact the church office, or talk to any member. You can join anytime.

You do not need to be a member to attend services or participate.

We would love you to be part of our family.

Our Stories

We all have stories!  These are some of the Faith stories and tales of connection to our church – some new, some generations old and some just beginning.  We hope that all will walk with us as we build our new church – and continue to grow these stories!
